Banner Advertising

General specifications to be followed

The specifications are updated regularly

General

  • We use Google Ad Manager 360 (GAM) as our ad server.
  • Banners for web can be delivered as image files (GIF, JPG or PNG), HTML5, or 3rd party Script Tags.
  • Banners for newsletters must always be delivered as image files (JPG/PNG).
  • The maximum file size is 120 KB per banner.
  • *When using HTML or tags, polite load up to 1 MB is allowed, and up to 3 MB is loaded on click.
  • Links must always open in a new window (target=”_blank”).
  • Please include URLs with UTM tags when possible.

HTML5 and 3rd party Script Tags

  • HTML5 banners must follow GAM’s standards for clicktags (see example below).
  • HTML5 banners must be packaged in their own ZIP file, containing only one folder.
  • 3rd party Script Tags must follow GAM’s standards for 3rd party tags and macros.
  • Note: Avoid setting cookies in the banners, as approximately 40% of impressions are lost from visitors who do not accept cookies!

Delivery of material

  • All material must be submitted to materiale@infowatch.dk – please remember to specify which campaign it concerns.
  • Material must be submitted via email, WeTransfer, Dropbox, or similar services.
  • All material must be delivered SSL-secured (https).
  • Material must be provided in the agreed sizes and formats.
  • If the banner has a white background, a clearly visible border is required (1×1 px is acceptable).
  • Banners must not imitate editorial articles.
  • Avoid using the characters æ, ø, Ã¥, or spaces in filenames, as well as in URLs.
  • The advertiser is responsible for the banner material, functionality, and design. Banners that disrupt editorial content or cause technical issues for visitors will be removed from the site immediately.

Deadline

  • Deadline: 3 working days or no later than the Wednesday prior to campaign start.
    If delivered later, campaign launch on the planned start date cannot be guaranteed, and the supplier may be charged an administration fee or have the material compensation deducted.
